We did the Puyallup again

We ran into our old neighbors, The Walkers, while we were at the fair.
Their kids are Kelson and Lucy.
They moved to Gig Harbor and we moved to our house.
We really miss them!

Kelson & Jackson

Ellee spent most of her fair experience in the wagon. She liked it as long as Jackson was in there with her!

The Real First Day of Preschool (Sept. 9th)

Mrs. Papen ~ Jackson's Preschool Teacher
This was right when Jackson walked into his classroom.
When I picked Jackskon up that day, I asked him to say goodbye to his teacher and he gave her a hug! So cute!

Can you guess what Jackson's favorite part of Preschool was?

Yep!

The purple Buzz Light Year with wings! (That's how he says it)

Shrek at 5th Avenue

Jackson and I went on a date together last weekend and saw Shrek the Musical. He and I loved it and were engaged the entire time. It helped that I had bought skittles though!
Through almost the entire show, Jackson kept asking me where Puss'n Boots was. It took me the whole show to realize he wasn't in the first movie...he came in number 2? I think....
Jackson's favorite parts of the musical occured when Shrek growled to scare the "bad guys" and when he tooted. (Shrek did that alot....so did Princess Fiona)

Jackson is actually in the theater in this picture. I didn't get a very good one and got busted right after I took it anyways.

"You can do it at a trot, you can do it at a gallop..."

You can do it real slow so your heart won't palpitate....just don't be late

Do the Puyallup!

Done doing the Puyallup!

For the first time in 31 years, I went to the "cattle drive" AKA Parade that kicks off the Fair. I had no clue this even happened. We then went to the fair, since everyone was able to get in free from 10:00-12:00. (Didn't know that either) I guess I was a good student and was in school, instead of at the fair:) The kids had a blast and I'm sure we will be back!

What has Ellee been up to?

She is very busy and likes to make messes!Posted by Picasa

1st Day of Preschool/Field-Trip

Jackson had his first day of Preschool at Imanuel Lutheran, September 4th. It was actually come in and see the classroom, meet your teachers and go on a field trip. Jackson was very excited to go and can't wait to go back next week. What a big boy he is getting to be.
I didn't even have a chance to be sad since I was with him the entire time. He asked me while driving to school if I would stay with him....we'll see how the actual first day goes.
I had to drag Jackson over to his name tag (away from the toys...Rescue Heros AND Buzz Light Year-His absolute favorite toys right now) to glue a picture onto his nametag. He had to do this so he will remember which one is his. He glued a picture of a penguin. He can recognize his name, BUT there are two Jacksons in his room. (Jackson H. and Jackson M.) I guess we need to practice recognizing our last name.

Jackson's first day of preschool was also a field trip to Gwendon Farms. The kids learned about picking apples. They each got to pick 2 apples from the trees. One was for the kids to eat (which Jackson did right away) and the other was to give to their teacher. I think they are going to make something for the kids with them. Here the kids are pretending to be apples trees and the presenter is picking the apples off them. Too cute!

At the end of the field trip the kids got to plant their own pansy. I think Jackson is going to have a green thumb like his Daddy. He likes plants, dirt, worms and even bugs!

Here is Jackson with a little friend he met. Her name is Olivia. She's just 2 days younger than Jackson.
