Ellee's State Bird

Did you know that the Washington State Bird is a Gold Finch? Well Ellee does. She has been learning about our home State of Washington in Preschool.

Ballet

Look who started Ballet!

Ellee has Ballet every Monday afternoon. I am so very Thankful for my friend Jenny for picking Ellee up at Amy's (our babysitter) and bringing her to class. The studio is a few blocks from my school, so I head over as soon as I'm done.

She has a long way to go before she or the class is ready for a recital in a few short months. I am really curious what it is going to look like. For half the class she is doing ballet and the other half she is doing tap. I am constantly talking to Ellee about the importance of listening to her teacher and following her lead. I will often see her teacher and the class skipping around in a circle and my little ballerina is skipping around the opposite way.....sigh!

A Friend's Birthday

Ellee had a great time at her friend Ava's Princess 6th Birthday Party!

 

The girls received make-up "tips" and then were able to apply their own.

Each of the girls also picked out a dress they wanted to wear. Ellee changed about 5 times before finding just the right one.

The best part was watching all these little ladies dancing after they got all glamed up!

 

Ellee's 1st Date with Daddy-O

Shawn took Ellee on her very first date. Ellee had been looking foward to this for weeks. I took her dress shopping a few weeks prior and let her pick out the dresses she wanted to try on. We bought one and then went to another store where she saw this pink dress and immediately said I want that one. I could tell this dress was the one because of how matter of fact she was. The first dress we bought was blue and really cute too, but I could tell she really wanted this one.

Uncle John and Sophia went too! The Dads took them to dinner first where Auntie Erin works then to the dance. A real date!!! These girls had a blast and truly felt like princesses.
